Australian Office

Nick Dinadis

Australia Managing Director. Nick is passionate about introducing and implementing Advanced Process Graphics. He is dedicated to advancing the field and accessibility of Human Factors within complex technical domains, such as aviation, chemical, petrochemical and nuclear. His degrees include a BASc in Nuclear and Thermal Power Engineering as well as MASc in Human Factors, specializing in Ecological Interface Design. Over the past ten years, Nick has worked to further the concept and application of Advanced Process Graphics to the design of control rooms within the chemical, mining, and petrochemical industries in North America, Europe and Australia.

Roger Larcombe

Roger is a highly experienced SCADA Specialist with over 30 years in the iron ore mining industry, having led major control systems and SCADA projects for BHP and Rio Tinto. Known for his technical depth and leadership, Roger has played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of high-performance HMI standards across multiple mining operations.
His expertise spans Citect SCADA (all versions), OT architecture, PCN applications, and HV equipment integration. Roger has successfully delivered large-scale, brownfields upgrades with zero production impact, and has led multimillion-dollar initiatives focused on ASM-based HMI design, system standardization, and OT lab development. He brings analytical precision, a clear project vision, and a deep commitment to operational excellence.

Ben Broadfoot

Ben is a seasoned Senior Network and Systems Engineer with over a decade of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT/OT infrastructure. Known for his deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills, Ben specializes in network architecture, systems integration, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions. He has a proven track record of enhancing system performance, ensuring network reliability, and leading critical infrastructure projects from concept to completion. Ben brings a strategic mindset and hands-on leadership to every challenge, making him a trusted resource in dynamic and high-stakes environments.

Connor Jarvis

Connor is a highly capable Control Systems Engineer with extensive experience in SCADA and Process Control Network (PCN) upgrades across large, complex brownfields mining operations. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Power, he brings a strong foundation in electrical systems and a passion for lifelong learning and leadership development.
Specializing in Citect SCADA, Allen Bradley PLCs, and the FactoryTalk suite, Connor has delivered major infrastructure projects involving advanced process graphics, abnormal situation management (ASM), and cross-disciplinary system integrations. His collaborative mindset, technical depth, and commitment to high standards make him a key contributor in the delivery of critical operational technology solutions.

Braithe Gildersleeves

Braithe is a Lead Network Engineer with extensive experience delivering industrial networking solutions in the mining and resources sector. Over a career spanning major infrastructure projects for BHP and others, he has played a key role in the design and execution of Process Control Network upgrades, fibre migrations, and site-wide SCADA integrations. Braithe combines deep technical knowledge of Cisco and Hirschmann networks with a practical understanding of operational environments, consistently delivering robust, standards-aligned outcomes in complex, high-availability systems.

North American Office

Lisa Garrison

Lisa has a diverse background as an engineer and human factors specialist in the aerospace, telecommunications and petrochemical industries. Degrees include a BS in aerospace engineering and a MS in human factors. Companies that she has worked for include Exxon, Sprint PCS, McDonnell Douglas, Rockwell Space Operations and Honeywell. Lisa had over 15 years experience in applying human factors to the to hydrocarbon industry in the areas of control room design, workload assessments, task analysis, alarm management, graphics design and project management.

Laura Sievers

Human Factors Engineer. Laura is a seasoned user interface and interaction designer with experience in petrochemical and chemical refining, as well as automotive, medical, manufacturing applications. She has a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Human Factors and Ecological Interface Design, and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technische Universität München, specializing in Human Factors and Ergonomics. Her focus is on designing the interaction and interface between humans and complex systems, from industrial process control rooms to advanced driver assistance systems.

Klaus Christoffersen PhD

HMI Design Director. Klaus combines a strong background in both research and applied aspects of human-systems integration issues in complex, high-technology industries. Klaus holds BASc and MASc degrees in Industrial Engineering, and a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering, focusing on cognitive aspects of Human Factors Engineering. Before joining UIX in 2007 he advised clients in various industries including mineral and petrochemical processing, healthcare, transportation, defense and NASA space operations. He has published frequently in technical journals and conference proceedings, and has been invited to speak to several organizations on the role of human factors in the performance of complex, technical systems. He is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.

Sean Kortschot

Sean is a cognitive engineer with a passion for design and implementation of Advanced Process Graphics. He has worked in mining, nuclear, and cyber security, focusing on Cognitive Work Analysis, Ecological Interface Design, and machine learning. He has 10 years of experimental and statistical experience and 5 years of design experience. Sean holds a BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, and an MASc and PhD from the University of Toronto, both in Human Factors Engineering. We welcome him to the UIX team.
